In Search of Meaning and Content of Strategic Human Resource Management for Teaching and Learning Purpose

Though Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) has become a specialized course in the education of (HRM), serious consideration current body knowledge SHRM reveals theoretical gap that exists ascertaining meaning and content for teaching learning purpose, particularly Sri Lankan context, perhaps Asian context. This non-traditional but systematic research paper was written to accomplish three objectives: (1) present definitions given by authors authoritative generalized textbooks make brief descriptive analysis about explored; (2) identify mention various dimensions or aspects SHRM; (3) introduce an adequate relevant which is useful purpose developing country The desk strategy adopted this study one non-scientific method called authority applied carry out study. 14 on General HRM having separate chapter 8 were utilized An contents writing defining logical judgement author executed. 22 identified presented. yielded list 18 specific characteristics suggesting ways viewing strategically.
